SCOTT HARDER

Past President

Team USA 2017 & 2018: Duathlon
Cyclocross Cat 3
Road Cat 5
Track Cat 5

A retired alpinist after mountaineering across the North Cascades for over 12 years. With a little bit of encouragement from friends and co-workers, I entered into the realm of cycling. The sport makes it much easier for those with family commitments. No more 2+ hour trail head commutes. Door to door while maintaining 175 bpm for an hour or 2 can be more fun than previously thought.

I started with racing cyclocross in 2013 after never "racing" a bike at all. I've never looked back because it embraces so many great things that I enjoy. Camaraderie, shenanigans, full bore exercise, competition & waffles.

I qualified for the National Team at the USAT Duathlon National Championships in Bend, Oregon in 2016 & 2017. Joining Team USA has been a primary focus since December of 2015. I am currently training to complete a half and full marathon before 2021. I am deathly scared of open water :)
