My name is Juan José but most people call me JJ. I grew up watching the Tour of Guatemala (back when it was the training ground for upcoming international cyclists). I have great memories of going with my dad to the finish line and waiting for the cyclists to arrive.
 
Although I always liked cycling I didn't become a cyclist until 2012 when my friend invited me to ride with him. I fell in love with cycling instantaneously and started riding. Just a few months later I was doing STP with my friend. Now I race cat 4 on the track and enjoy it. I am also a USA Cycling official.
